The John Bull steam locomotive was built in England in 1831 by Robert Stephenson and Company for the Camden and Amboy Railroad (C&A).

The John Bull Locomotive operated for 35 years, pulling cargo and passenger trains through New York and Pennsylvania. In 1981 the John Bull became the oldest steam locomotive in existence, operating under steam at 150 years old.
